Kara's Baby Shower

Had a group of Kara's friends use my house for a baby shower yesterday. They came in and decorated, brought the food, the games and basically took control - what an awesome group! Lots of fun, laughs and delicious eats! The onesie above has a little pig on it with the words "Little Ham" under it - how fitting is that!

Sea Diego Trip With Chloe

Terry and I took our annual trip to San Diego with Choe this year. We stayed at the Wyndham across the street from the Oceanside Pier. Chloe liked walking on the Oceanside Pier and wattching the surfers.

We spent 4 days going to Legoland, SeaWorld, San Diego Zoo and swimming in the ocean.

Monday we spent the day at Legoland. We met up with a college friend, Sandy Hillis Fleury, who works at the park - we hadn't seen Sandy in 35 years! We had the enjoyment of spending time with her and her husband, Chip for some time of catch up.

Tuesday, we went to SeaWorld - Chloe wanted to sit in the soak zone at the first show but after getting totally drenched last year with Conner, so we sat in the rows above the soak zone and luckily Shamu wasn't very powerful that day and didn't send the water all the way up to us!

Wednesday, we spent the day sleeping in, relaxing, playing at the beach and swimming in the pool. It was nice to have a day of just playing.

Thursday we spent the day at the San Diego Zoo - Chloe loved riding the double-decker zoo bus (on the top deck of course) around the zoo and also riding the skytram which we did 3 times. She liked the snake house and seeing the baby giraffe. She never complained once about walking all over the zoo.
